Introducing our new video tutorials
Kate Wells
IMPORTANT – This user tip relates to an older version of Genovo. Although much of the content and many of the concepts still apply to the current version of Genovo, the screenshots and some instructions may no longer be accurate. |
At Genovo we have always prided ourselves on the range of support resources we provide to help you answer your own questions, on your own schedule including:
- our Knowledge Base;
- the user hints & tips you’ll find dotted around the Genovo app in the form of page helps;
- our monthly user tip blogs;
- our monthly training webinar; and
- our new features and updates webinars.
However, I, more than anyone, have been very conscious that as the Genovo app has evolved and new features have been added that our video tutorials have become ever more out of date. So when we went into lockdown I decided it was an ideal opportunity to embark on a project to create a new library of video tutorials covering everything our users need to know about the Genovo suitability report app – from how to manage their account and write a report, to how to customise the content of their report template.
What topics do the video tutorials cover?
The video tutorials are deliberately broken down into bite-sized chunks to make them easier to consume and digest, and cover the following categories and topics.

Where will you find the video tutorials?
The Genovo website
You can access the entire video tutorial library via the Smart Support link included under the resources tab in the website’s main navigation bar. Once in the Genovo Smart Support hub click on the video tutorials link as shown in the screenshot below.
Within the video tutorial library, you’ll notice that the videos have been grouped together to roughly mirror the Genovo dashboard i.e.
- Account Admin
- Libraries
- Customisation
- How to write a report
- Integrations
- Demos
And you can filter and sort the videos by clicking on the different topics listed out in the menu to the right as highlighted in the screenshot below.
The Genovo suitability report app
You can also access the video tutorials by clicking on the video tutorial icon next to the page help icon in the top right-hand corner of various pages within the Genovo app.
Much like the page helps, if you click on the video tutorial icon, a lightbox window will open up and display a video tutorial with guidance specifically tailored to the page you’re on.
Well that’s it for this month’s user tip – I hope it’s been useful. Please do check out the video tutorials and let me know what you think, and keep an eye on your inbox for more helpful user tips over the coming months.
